Great East Swim 2017
Welcome to the Great East Swim outreach programme which is in its sixth year. The programme is a partnership between Suffolk Sport, Suffolk County Council and Sport England which provides an opportunity for YOU and YOUR friends/relatives to take part in a progressive programme of training and support to help you get physically active, with the goal of taking part in the Great East Swim on Saturday 17th June 2017.
The programme is open to individuals aged 35 plus.
This challenge involves a half mile or mile open water swim in the Alton Water Reservoir in Holbrook, Suffolk.
On these page you will find everything you need to know and do to be part of this amazing project in 2017. As well as understanding all the support you will be receiving, you will find the participant criteria, course locations and dates, be able to register your interest and see what happened to some of the previous participants:
