... Sportivate could be what you're looking for!

Sportivate is a national programme to encourage more young people to take up sport and get physical activity!

Currently we are really keen to work with partners to target males aged 19 to 25 and females aged 14 to 25 who:

- Are irregularly active
- Are consistently inactive
- Have a functional relationship to sport
- Are uninterested in sport

If you work within an organisation that engages this group of young people or know someone that does then please get in touch and we can do the rest to get them active.

Suffolk Sport will be prioritising applications that show an understanding of the latest research and insight and are keen to enable applicants in Suffolk not only the chance of receiving a successful outcome of the funding application but more importantly feeling confident and able to engage and deliver what teenagers and young adults want.

Youth Insight

Sport England has recently invested in preparing a Youth Insight document which details how young people play sport, what their motivations are, and how they want their sporting experience to look. Did you know that people don't want to be told 'you'll have fun!'; they would prefer to know how taking part might help their employability prospects. A few examples include;

1. Learning how to network on a golf course
2. Strengthening your core for hairdressing with Pilates
3. Teach drama students acting skills through fencing

All projects must show that the applicant has read, understood and implemented the findings of the Youth Insight Pack to help shape their project.(please contact Suffolk Sport if further detail required)
