Find out more about Fit Villages in this video
Fit Villages brings people together through setting up physical activity sessions in rural communities.
Fit Villages is a popular, well established project run by Suffolk Sport across the county. The project is supported by The Big Lotteries, Reaching communities Fund.
Through the project we help villages in rural locations to set up their own sport and physical activity programmes, using village facilities such as village halls, community centres or playing fields. Previous projects have included activities such as Pilates, Yoga, Table Tennis, Nordic Walking, Zumba, Badminton or Keep Fit.
As the project continues to grow we are always looking for new villages to get involved – would you like to see one of the above activities, or perhaps something new like Walking Football or New Age Kurling come to your village?
