County Wide Workforce Strategy
Suffolk Sport is currently working to develop a County wide Workforce Strategy with a focus on Clubs, Coaches, Volunteers and the Professional Workforce. We would really appreciate you taking a few minutes to complete our short surveys in order for us to ascertain the current picture and gain a better understanding of the needs of the workforce going forward.

The Coach Survey is to be completed by unpaid qualified coaches. Coaching can be defined as the process of motivating, guiding and training an individual/group in a physical activity setting. https://www.suffolksport.com/forms/view/coachingsurvey18
The Volunteer Survey is to be completed by volunteers within clubs, groups/organisations or one off events. Volunteering roles include, but not limited to, captain, secretary, chairman, treasurer, administrator, fundraiser, washing the kit and transporting children. https://www.suffolksport.com/forms/view/volunteering18
The Professional Workforce Survey is to be completed by anyone who is paid for their work in the sport or physical activity sector. This includes, but not limited to, Lifeguard, Coach, Receptionist, Gym Instructor, Leisure Assistant, Sport Development Officer and Teacher. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/suffolk18
Suffolk's Countywide Workforce Strategy seeks to support volunteers, coaches, employed staff in the sector and people in clubs. Underpinning these areas is equality and diversity, ensuring more 'people like me' in the workforce with the skills, competencies and behaviours to engage a diverse range of people into sport and physical activity.
The scale and complexity of developing a workforce that can meet the needs of a broader range of participants, from a wider variety of backgrounds presents a significant challenge. The wider range of communities that Suffolk Sport work is reaching may have specific needs depending on their personal circumstances and the places they live.
