1st Reserve for female Olympic Triathlon Team 2012
I have been a regular member of the Great Britain Triathlon team since the age of fourteen, representing at Youth Junior, Under 23 and Senior levels for both the European and World Championships.
After leaving Kesgrave Sixth Form in my hometown of Ipswich I attended the University of Essex where I graduated with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Sports and Exercise Science.
After graduating I turned professional as a full-time Triathlete, basing myself at the National High Performance Centre in Loughborough and in my hometown of Ipswich. I was professional for 4 years leading up the 2012 Olympics.
After the intensity building up to London 2012, I have taken the decision to take ‘time-out’ from competition to reflect and re-focus my love and desire for the sport of triathlon. I am currently working full-time in a school as a teaching assistant, as well as providing coaching advice to aspiring young athletes.
Although I have no International Competitions planned for 2013, I am still training and maintaining a high fitness level. I have a number of sporting challenges planned including cycling from London to Paris in 24 hours and a stage of the 2013 Tour De France!
