Suffolk Sport is delighted to have been awarded a 'Very Good' rating in a recent assessment by Quest, the UK quality assurance accreditation scheme for sport and leisure.
Quest is a Sport England recommended Continuous Improvement Tool for leisure facilities and sports development teams, designed to measure how effective organisations are at providing customer service.
The assessment, which took place in December, consisted of an internal self-assessment by the Suffolk Sport team, as well as a Quest external assessment led by a trained and independent assessor. The assessment was designed to check and challenge Suffolk Sport against five core modules specifically designed for County Sports Partnerships (CSPs). Assessment of each of these modules led to an overall 'Very Good' rating, indicating the high level of service provided by Suffolk Sport within the sport and physical activity sector.
The rating itself reflects Suffolk Sport's outstanding commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Suffolk, while Suffolk Sport's involvement with the Quest process demonstrates its pledge to continually improve as an organisation in order to ensure the highest standards of practice.
John Clough, Director of Suffolk Sport, said: "At Suffolk Sport we recognise the need for continuous improvement and we continue to utilise a range of tools in order to share learning and develop as an organisation. At the heart of this work is our engagement with the Quest improvement tool, which we began using in 2015 and were initially rated as 'Good'. Over the last five years we have used Quest to drive our organisational development and the way that we operate, and we are very pleased to have now progressed to a 'Very Good' rating. The Quest standard now forms an integral part of our performance management and improvement relationship with Sport England. We aspire to achieve an 'Excellent' rating in future assessments and as we continue on our improvement journey, we will ensure that we raise standards in our work in order to maximise the impact that we have in our communities."
Tracey Loynds, Chair of Suffolk Sport said "The Board very proud of Suffolk Sport for achieving a 'Very Good' rating. We believe that this demonstrates the team's commitment to our strategy: to improve health and wellbeing across Suffolk by inspiring everyone to be more active. Our incredible workforce ensures that we prioritise our work, operate through a set of core values and adopt a collaborative approach in everything that we do."
