Sporting Memories Session: talk all things 'Town' with Mel Henderson

Mel Henderson will be joining Sports Memories at Quay Place, Ipswich on Monday 15th October (10.30am—12 noon).

Sports journalist Mel Henderson was Ipswich Town's first-ever public relations officer during the glory days of the late 1970s and 1980s. Mel went on to become chief sports writer at the Evening Star and contributed to a number of national newspapers.

Mel also wrote "The Essential History of Ipswich Town ", and the autobiography of legend John Wark.

For a coffee, conversation and fascinating insight into Mel's sporting memories, head to Quay Place on the 15th October. This is a FREE event from Sporting Memories Suffolk.

Sporting Memories sessions are open to all over 50 sports fans and use the power of sporting reminiscence to unite generations and to help tackle issues such as dementia, depression and loneliness. The sessions run weekly at Ipswich Central Library and at other venues across Suffolk.
