Comic Relief - Safe, Secure and Settled Fund

Grants are available for projects in the UK, India, South Africa, Brazil and Kenya that are using sport to improve the lives of children and young people (up to 25 years) who are homeless or living in temporary accommodation to gain skills to lead safe and positive lives.

ESCAPE-Pain Course for Knee/Hip Pain

Location: Boston Lodge, The Coffee Room, Boston Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR32 1UG

DO YOU SUFFER FROM CHRONIC KNEE OR HIP PAIN AND ARE INACTIVE?
This unique education & exercise course consisting of 13 sessions, is aimed at people with Osteoarthritis (people with chronic knee and hip pain for more than 6 months are also eligible) and who are inactive (less than 30 minutes of activity per week, excluding walking). This offer is unique for Suffolk and is a well recognised national programme, run by highly professional ESCAPE-Pain trained instructors.

Safeguarding and Protecting Children (7th June 2018)

Date: Thu, 07 Jun 2018 (18:30 - 21:30)

Location: King Edward VI School, Grove Road, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP33 3BH

A required course for all Suffolk Sport topcoaches but is open to all. This workshop covers protecting yourself and the young people you work with by following good practice. Learn to recognise signs of abuse and what to do if you have concerns. This course forms part of the minimum standards for coaches.
