Recognition Scheme

Suffolk Sport’s Recognition Scheme is to highlight and reward elite performers, team and Club achievements and our unsung heroes that go above and beyond the call of duty. The Programme allows Suffolk Sport to recognise these immense achievements throughout the year, in addition to the formal Suffolk Sports Awards evening, which takes place annually in October.

Criteria
Individual Performers
  • A performer, who has made great progress, achieveed outstanding success on national or international stage
  • A performer that has been recently selected to represent thier country
Club Achievements
  • The club that has recently achieved Clubmark or equivalent NGB accreditation i.e. Charter Standard Community, Swim 21 etc.
Team Achievements
  • A team that has achieved immense success at national standard or above.
Exceptional Achievers
  • An individual/group that have gone above and beyond the call of duty

  • An individual or group that have made an outstanding contribution to sport in Suffolk, whether this be through dedicating a lifetime to sport in the County or achieving momentous but specific success. (i.e. securing significant funding for a community club or project)

If you know of an Individual, Team or Club that fit the above criteria and should be recognised and rewarded through Suffolk Sport’s Recognition Scheme then please follow the simple nomination process detailed below.

Nominations must be sent to Chloe McMorran via email or letter, specifying the following:

  • Details of why the individual/group is eligible to recieve recognition
  • Name and address of candidate

Once Suffolk Sport have assessed your nomination, you will be informed whether the candidate has been/not been successful.

If the nominee is successful then the candidate will receive a letter of recognition on behalf of the Suffolk Sport Board Chairman, Professor Bill Tancred MBE.
