Visit us at the 2010 Suffolk Show

Suffolk Sport will once again be at the Suffolk Show this year. Taking place at Trinity Park near Ipswich on Wednesday 2nd & Thursday 3rd June.

Located in the Heart FM Sports Village, there will be lots for the whole family to see and do.

Over the next three years in the run up to the Olympics Suffolk Sport are pledging to get 25,000 more people in Suffolk active.... What's your pledge!

The whole area this year is 2012 themed as we start a three year journey to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games. Find out how to volunteer, make your Olympic pledge, follow our Olympic treasure hunt. See how Suffolk is supporting its up and coming talented athletes - There will also be the chance to meet some past, present and future Olympians and Paralympians !

There will be loads of sports displays and opportunities for you to join in, this year will include Basketball, Gymnastics, Judo, cheerleading and much much more. Keep checking our website for programme deatails, so you can time your visit and have a go at your favourite sport or try something new....

Also in our outdoor arena there's the chance to have a go at Golf, Trampolining and Tennis. There is something for the whole family to do and have some fun.

As well as info on where you can get active, we've also got the Healthy Ambitions Suffolk Bus giving fun health advice on healthy lifestyles from Suffolk PCT and healthy Ambitions Suffolk.

Linking in with these will be Cycle Suffolk the brand new initative from Suffolk Sport aimed at getting Suffolk cycling! and Active Well Being promoting healthy walks including a pedometer challenge - Pedometers are free but limited in number so come early.

Optua and the Suffolk Disability Sport Academy will be providing info on Disability Sport.

There will be lots of information and people to talk to about getting the whole family active, finding your local sports club and leading more healthy lifestyles.
