
Funding Resources For Clubs & Coaches
We have three types of funding currently available for anyone who is an active member of a sports club or coaches sport within Suffolk. Please click on the guidelines to see which form of funding pot is best suited to your needs. Funding is available of up to 50% of the cost of the course excluding travel or accommodation charges. For Swimming funding please see the ASA Education funding document opposite.
Sport England Funding
Through funding from Sport England, Suffolk Sport can offer up to 50% financial assistance [excluding travel and accommodation], to coaches taking an NGB (National Governing Body) qualifiations. If you participate in the following sports you will not be eligable for this funding:
Athletics, Badminton, Boccia, Equestrian, Canoeing, Cricket, Cycling, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Lacrosse, Netball, Rounders, Rowing, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Sailing/Windsurfing, Squash, Swimming, Tennis and Traithlon.
European Social Funding – Leading the Field (ESF)
For anyone who is involved in any of the sports listed below and is interested in gaining a UKCC coaching qualification, we have available up to 100% of your course cost [excluding travel and accommodation], you will need to complete the initial online expression of interest, once this has been completed you will be contacted by a member of Suffolk Sport to take your application further. Please note this will be issued on a strictly first come first served basis.

Sport Unlimited
With the governments new initiative for the sport unlimited programme we have funding available for any coach or volunteer working on the extended activity programme within Suffolk to receive funding for their UKCC courses and the workshops that are required to deliver these programmes. However, any coaches hoping to access these funds will need to have undertaken a Training Needs Analysis with our Workforce Development Office with in 12 months of starting the programme. Please contact Claire Drewery to arrange a suitable appointment and to receive the TNA paperwork.
