Forest Heath Yrs 3&4 Mini Tennis Red Competition - RESULTS

On Thursday 28th June eight teams from primary schools across the district braved the heat and humidity to take part in the Forest Heath School Sports Partnership Yrs 3&4 Mini Tennis Red Competition. The event took place at Newmarket Lawn Tennis Club and was organised by the head coach Chris Ktori, with support from students at Newmarket College who assisted with officiating duties.
The eight teams were split into two groups of four and each team of four players - two boys and two girls - played matches against each of their counterparts, each lasting eight minutes in duration. At the end of the group stages, play-offs for the teams finishing fourth, third and second in each group took place before the final between the two group winners.
Ultimately, the event was dominated by St Louis Primary who had two teams at the event, each finishing top of their respective league. When it came to the final the A and B teams were inseparable, each winning two games and scoring 37 points in the process. As such, St Louis were declared the winners and the headache of selecting the best four plyers to represent the Partnership at the Suffolk School Games on Friday 6 July was given to the teacher present.
