University Tennis Co-ordinator - Anglia Ruskin University

Fixed term contract for up to two years (depending on length of qualification)
£20,172 p.a. pro-rata (£4705.75 p.a.)

Our vibrant, modern University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally and we have ambitious plans for our future. Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investments. With an annual income of £163m, over 30,000 students and 2,000 staff, we are a major force for higher education in the East of England.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen to join our team and gain valuable experience of working in the sports development industry whilst studying for your Masters Degree. Thanks to an innovative partnership with Tennis Foundation we have become one of 22 universities in the UK to secure funding for a Tennis Co-ordinator – an exciting role that will inspire more staff and students to take up the game of tennis at our Cambridge campus.

You will be passionate about sport and keen to develop your own skills. You will be comfortable using all forms of social media to engage with others and will understand the barriers that students face to participating in sport – as well as having some creative solutions to overcome them. You must have experience of leading a group of people and successfully co-ordinating a project using your own initiative.

With a minimum of a degree or equivalent, you will have secured a place on a part-time Masters Degree starting in September 2013. This role will be eligible for a bursary of up to £4,500 each year towards the fees.

The Network is seeking Assistants to help organise activities for local coaches and volunteers at athletics clubs. If any of these roles interests you please contact Terry McEntee on 07776 166288 or at terry.mcentee@suffolksport.com for an informal conversation
