Suffolk SportsAid Foundation
The Suffolk SportsAid Foundation has been established to support local athletes. Working in partnership with SportsAid it's sole purpose is to raise money to support Suffolk's talented sportsmen and women to achieve their sporting goals.
The Foundation was launched at The Suffolk Yacht harbour Club, Levington. As well as representatives from sport, business and the media the event was also attened by many of Suffolk's former, current and potenial Olympic stars.

The first two grant recipients were presented with their awards at the Foundation launch on national 2012 day 2007. Ellis Jackson a swimmer from Lowestoft and Joseph Bloomfield, an athlete from Ipswich were both awarded £500 to help them achieve their goal of competing for GB at the London 2012 Olympics.

The cheques were presented by Sharon Hunt who is a potential Olympian for Bejing 2008.
Bridget Taylor, Director of CSD, the first business supporter of the foundation was presented with an exclusive "Suffolk Rising to Challenge" Gold Medal and certificate by Stan Cox who competed in the 1948 Olympics.
