Coach Education Courses
We organise from the regional office, coach education courses that can benefit road running and track / field clubs - indeed, since the region took over coach education in September we have had over 400 coaches come through the regional system. Fitness in Running & Walking Courses together with Levels 1-4  or Children In Athletics Courses, can be provided for your members should you have a demand to put these on. We can administer these courses or find your coaches other course to attend - please visit our website or contact Alison Potts, our regional administrator for further information on coaching courses apotts@englandathletics.org .
 
 
 
Coach Bursary Grants - Available Now
We have recently launched an East Region Coach Bursary grant scheme to benefit road running and track & field coaches to progress from levels 3 and 4.For further details on how you or your coaches could qualify for a grant towards gaining a qualification in coaching, please visit our website again or speak to Richard Wheater rwheater@englandathletics.org  
 
 
 
Coach Mentoring Scheme & Flying Visits - Available Now
Please speak to Richard Wheater about arranging for a top quality coach to come into your club to work with your athletes during a training night - perhaps you would like to work with other clubs to put this on? We can fund this activity and have a range of qualified performance coaches across the event groups (including road running) to support you. Our coach mentor scheme seeks to link coaches with a mentor via the net - we have a range of high quality mentors ready to work with your coaches so they can develop their technical skills - please contact mentoring-east@englandathletics.org <mailto:mentoring-east@englandathletics.org>  to be linked to an event mentor.
 
Road Running Coaches - Here To Support Your Club!
Paul Evans and Liam Cain are the East Road Running Coaching Team and they want to hear from running clubs who would like them to come into their club (perhaps pairing up with another local club?) to deliver a coaching session with your athletes and coaches. England Athletics East will fund a visit to your club from these high quality coaches.
