Clubmark

Sport England Clubmark has been devised to acknowledge good practice within clubs, and as a way for parents/carers, schools, sports professionals etc to recognise suitable clubs for young people. As a national standard, it means that a Clubmark club in any sport, in any part of the country, will have met the same high standards. For an information sheet about Clubmark, including the criteria your club will need to meet to gain accreditation, click HERE. For general information about Clubmark click HERE.
NEW FOR 2006:
Clubmark accredited clubs within Suffolk can now get a reduction on the price of attending Suffolk Sport workshops, and clubs gaining Clubmark accreditation may qualify for a cashback reward if they have already attended Suffolk Sport workshops. For more information, click HERE.

Clubmark is normally only awarded through the National Governing Bodies of sports that have adopted the scheme. There are currently 25 sports whose clubs can gain Clubmark through their National Governing Body:
- Aikido
- Angling
- Archery
- Athletics
- Badminton
- Basketball
- Canoeing
- Cricket
- Cycling
- Fencing
- Golf
- Gymnastics
- Hockey
- Judo

- Rugby Union
- Squash
- Swimming
- Table Tennis
- Tennis
- Triathlon
- Volleyball
If your club is from one of these sports, you will need to contact your National Governing Body for details. For links to NGB websites, click HERE.
However, Suffolk Sport has been working with Sport England to pilot a version of Clubmark for clubs who cannot access it through their sport. If your club is NOT from a sport on the above list, and you would like to find out more about working towards accreditation, please contact Vicki Askew on 01502 523632 or vicki.askew@waveney.gov.uk
