Coaches Association and Suffolk Sport are offering a range of
options for the winter coaching programme. See details below for
Cricket Coach and Assistant Cricket Coach training
opportunities.
United Kingdom Coaching Certificate Level 1
in Coaching Cricket - ECB COACHING ASSISTANT
The UKCC1 Coaching Assistant course has been specifically
designed as an ASSISTANT Coach award. It is ideal for newcomers to
coaching or people who are not necessarily cricketers. It will
enable new coaches to prepare for, deliver and review cricket
coaching sessions under the supervision of a Level 2 qualified
coach.
TARGETED AT:
- Adult club cricketers of any age or experience
- Young Cricketers & Sports Leaders (16-18)
- Parents
- Teachers
AIMS OF COURSE:
- Introduce and develop the game of cricket to people of all ages in a safe and enjoyable way
- Develop and improve players
- Develop coaching skills, knowledge & abilities
- Demonstrate competence against UKCC/National Standards
COURSE CONTENT:
- 4 x 3hr modules
- First Aid workshop 3 hrs
- Safeguarding & Protecting Children workshop 3 hrs
- Assessment
COST (Inc course materials & assessment):
1) £79 - Course includes Safeguarding & Protecting
Children and First Aid workshops. This is a subsidised price for
any member of a club affiliated to Suffolk Cricket Board.
2) £190 any non-affiliated individual.
3) £50 for delegates of the Ladies Only course
also affiliated to SCB.

United Kingdom Coaching Certificate Level 2
in Coaching Cricket ECB COACH AWARD
The UKCC2 Coach Award has been specifically designed for
people who have an ongoing involvement in cricket and will equip
coaches with all of the skills required to effectively plan,
conduct and evaluate cricket coaching sessions in a LEAD coach
capacity.
TARGETED AT:
- Existing or former players
- UKCC1 qualified coaches
- Existing ECB 1 qualified coaches
AIMS OF COURSE:
- Establish effective and safe coaching environment
- Review needs and establish goals
- Plan & evaluate effectively
- Deliver quality sessions
- Develop player performance
- Conclude sessions
- Establish & maintain working relationships with participants and others
- Monitor personal coaching practice
COURSE CONTENT:
- 8 x 3 hr modules
- 10 sessions supported practice
- Assessment
- Courses in First Aid and Safeguarding and Protecting Children are available for candidates who have not already attended them.
COST (Inc course materials & assessment):
1) £195 with a £45 rebate (£150) on
completion of the course.
This is a subsidised price to any member of Suffolk Cricket
Board affiliated clubs. Evidence of current CRB check, valid First
Aid and Safeguarding & Protecting Children certificates must be
provided in order to qualify.
2) £245 no rebate any non-affiliated
individual.
3) £165 with a £45 rebate
(£120) on completion of the course for female coaches also
affiliated to SCB.
